A thousand thanks to [personal profile] thandiefor being such a great help and inspiration. After considering to throw this vid into the trash, I wouldn't have picked this video up or finished it, if it wasn't for her.

Notes:

This song is so much love. Actually any Cary Brothers song is love. One day, I was listening to this song and immediately thought about how Avril lavigne could be the lonely girl. The idea came from her acting scenes in music videos. Plus this song somewhat relates to her past relationships with guys. You all know avril's angsty songs. If you don't, take a listen, they are my favorites from her.

Don't ask me how I got the idea to throw in mr. padalecki. I seem to have this idea stuck inside me to stick him in any video I can. In this vid, he is not mr. padalecki, he is mr. winchester. Sam, the lonely boy writing a story about a lonely girl. Makes sense? Why wouldn't he? He's intelligent enough to write a story, and somewhat about something that relates to his personal life.. I'm sure he feels at this point like he can't have love or a good relationship that doesn't end bad.

There is nothing supernatural in this story. This is about real life. What is now actually happening in my cousins life with her relationships. Actually for her, it's been going on for several years. So when I watch this, I can literally picture my cousin, the lonely girl. The lonely girl always has the guys leave her, but she doesn't know why? She doesn't understand what she did wrong? So she has mixed feelings that leave her very confused and frustrated. "and tonight, you'd fall for anyone" - she hooks up with a guy just to feel loved again. After losing someone who she loved more than anything, she feels like the next guy will just be a whatever, maybe she'll like them enough to end up loving him. But when it keeps happening over and over again, where they guy keeps leaving.. That leaves the thought of "There must be something wrong with me or Am I doing something wrong each time?" Towards the end of the video, I wanted to show the lonely girl seeing other people in love around her, and it overwhelms her that she just feels like the next thing to do is to run away. There is a few scenes of her crying and crying after she secretely watches this one couple, I wanted to show her thinking about her past love..

That's pretty much it. This was just a little experiment I wanted to try out.

You posted it! I'm sorry for being not responsive these 2 last days, I had work to do (like the Winchesters would say)...but I received every msg don't worry :)
This final version is perfect, I tell you. And I already told you, but again I have to stress that this video didn't deserve to be left unfinished. It won't be as ambitious as your other projects but it was very cute. The filters you use are pretty and give this feeling of frailty, like it's an old film...and the phootage is very well placed to the right parts of the song.
And again, I thought it would be impossible, but you made me like Avril Lavigne! Those clips were made for this song, you have always this great eye...(like remembering so swiftly about that book clips *lol*, I bet every thing you watch you always label in your mind the clips that could come of use in the future :P).
So, in short, I loved this *hug*

OT: Did you see the gag reel? I found it now on my flist :)))

Kitty! This was so touching and sad :(

I think you did an amazing job with the story, it felt so real in the way you put it together and I think the colouring and effects work perfectly, too. I just... can't believe you pulled off an entire story from clips from different music videos. That's just impressive lol.

It felt really professional, too, like this was the actual music video for the song. I also thought it was really original and refreshing and just so gorgeous to watch <3 Just... guh! Nice job on this, Kitty, seriously <3

I just love this video. The concept is really cool and unique. The coloring in it is beautiful and I love the scratchy type of FX on parts of it. The storyline of Avril's character is very well done and I just love that Jared is writing it all. Excellent work!
Oh, and the part where Avril was playing the piano was FLAWLESS. I thought that was perfect.

Ok, i really don`t know where to start!
I really liked the song. I knew The Cary Brothers after Dayl`s video, and i think this is a great band, though i still haven`t heard many of their songs =) Anyway, this is song is just very beautiful, so the video is.
I really liked the story. It was something very interesting and unique, and i really liked Sam as the storyteller. I really liked the color and the "old movie" style of this video, very nice.
And i have one question. You used different footages (SPN, Avril`s clips, LOTR as i noticed) how did you do the same aspect ratio? I mean, it`s always problem for me. I hate black bars (lol, yeah), so it`d be so cool if you share your secter :D

Sorry for the late feedback, I'm only just now getting a chance to get caught up on what I've missed since VVC. Great vid! I like how you let the clips linger in the beginning. It helped set the mood and really drew out the necessary emotion. The sepia coloring is really pretty - you always do a great job of picking the right hues for your vids. I also really liked the lighting effect. Combined they gave the vid a very unique feel. Not that it would've needed it, as the concept is unique in its own right.

I love how different this is from your usual style of vidding. It's beautiful and quietly powerful. Fantastic work! :)
